Ministry has no plans to effect ruble rate on shortfall in revenues

MOSCOW, Oct 17 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Finance Ministry has no plans to influence the ruble exchange rate in case of shortfall in revenues of the Russian budget, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said late on Monday.

“We have no goal to replenish the budget at the expense of exchange rate ratios... Our exchange rate is absolutely floating, we know about it. So if the exchange rate of the Russian currency strengthens - yes, we will receive less money to the budget… but it doesn't mean that we will somehow try to influence the value of the rate,” he said.
